Why was a bag of condoms and a lil brochure of how to use them put under my door.
There’s some nut in my math class who started arguing with the teacher saying that we couldn’t really find out how much money you could make from bikes sales without knowing how many bikes were sold. And my teacher pointed out that it was already built into the problem. And then we went on to try and figure out how much monthly profit we would make and the girl went on to say, “NO, IF YOU TAKE ECONOMY THEORY INTO CONSIDERATION INTO THE FIRST PART YOU HAVE TO DO IT IN THE SECOND PART TOO!!!!!” and she was really aggressive about it.
And then a few days ago she was like “This problem is unrealistic because a ball could never be thrown 200 feet high.” and went on to try and argue with the teacher about how it’s a worthless problem.
It’s very awkward
I’m spending the day going through my first two Chinese books.
It’s not fun
Add this to the list of stupid reasons kids have been suspended along with the list of examples on why American education is shit.
Oh, other “banned” words include:
- I dont know
- hang out
- my bad
I dont get it. Here are some more stories of our fine education system in action:
#1 At one public school down in Texas, a 12-year-old girl named Sarah Bustamantes was recently arrested for spraying herself with perfume.
#2 A 13-year-old student at a school in Albuquerque, New Mexico was recently arrested by police for burping in class.
#3 Another student down in Albuquerque was forced to strip down to his underwear while five adults watched because he had $200 in his pocket. The student was never formally charged with doing anything wrong.
#4 A security guard at one school in California broke the arm of a 16-year-old girl because she left some crumbs on the floor after cleaning up some cake that she had spilled.
#5 One teenage couple down in Houston poured milk on each other during a squabble while they were breaking up. Instead of being sent to see the principal, they were arrested and sent to court.
#6 In early 2010, a 12-year-old girl at a school in Forest Hills, New York was arrested by police and marched out of her school in handcuffs just because she doodled on her desk. “I love my friends Abby and Faith” was what she reportedly scribbled on her desk.
#7 A 6-year-old girl down in Florida was handcuffed and sent to a mental facility after throwing temper tantrums at her elementary school.
#8 One student down in Texas was reportedly arrested by police for throwing paper airplanes in class.
#9 A 17-year-old honor student in North Carolina named Ashley Smithwick accidentally took her father’s lunch with her to school. It contained a small paring knife which he would use to slice up apples. So what happened to this standout student when the school discovered this? The school suspended her for the rest of the year and the police charged her with a misdemeanor.
#10 In Allentown, Pennsylvania a 14-year-old girl was tasered in the groin area by a school security officer even though she had put up her hands in the air to surrender.
#11 Down in Florida, an 11-year-old student was arrested, thrown in jail and charged with a third-degree felony for bringing a plastic butter knife to school.
#12 Back in 2009, an 8-year-old boy in Massachusetts was sent home from school and was forced to undergo a psychological evaluation because he drew a picture of Jesus on the cross.
#13 A police officer in San Mateo, California blasted a 7-year-old special education student in the face with pepper spray because he would not quit climbing on the furniture.
#14 In America today, even 5-year-old children are treated brutally by police. A 5 year old boy was zip-tied and forced to take a psych evaluation at a hospital and charged with battery on a cop
#15 At one school in Connecticut, a 17-year-old boy was thrown to the floor and tasered five times because he was yelling at a cafeteria worker.
#16 A teenager in suburban Dallas was forced to take on a part-time jobafter being ticketed for using foul language in one high school classroom. The original ticket was for $340, but additional fees have raised the total bill to $637.

#20 High school senior denied diploma for blowing kiss at his mother
#21 A 9 year old boy was over heard calling a teacher cute and suspended for sexual harassment
What is wrong with people?
What is wrong with these teachers who can’t handle their kids without calling the police?
What is wrong with these police officers who feel the need to use force on unarmed children?

IT HAS BEGUN! THE BACKLASH AGAINST THE NAIL POLISH THAT COULD BE SAVING WOMEN’S LIVES!
Feminists like Laci Green don’t want women to be able to protect themselves from rapists. They don’t care that this could save people’s lives. They don’t care that could prevent women from being raped.
No. They are worried we might be ‘victim blaming’. :(
This is why women don’t need feminism.
fuck protecting ourselves. feminism is going to get rid of rape once and for all! just like the police got rid of crime. and like the military got rid of wars. hell, put aside the fact that there has been rape since the beginning of humanity, THESE women, THESE feminists of 2014, THESE people who cry over a video game character. THEY’RE going to be the ones to end it!
DON’T USE BUG SPRAY JUST TEACH MOSQUITOES NOT TO BITE ME! SCREW FIRE EXTINGUISHERS LETS JUST TEACH FIRE NOT TO BURN! Fucking backwards logic.
"The problem isn’t that women don’t know when there are roofies in their drink; the problem is people putting roofies in their drink in the first place"
— Rebecca Nagle, co-director of the activist group Force: Upsetting Rape Culture
>the real problem is the problem it’s combating
These feminists literally promote rape.
They’re rape promoters in defense of ideology.
That’s how powerful group think is.
What the fuck is happening with this shit show of a post?
NO ONE IS PROMOTING RAPE. 2.4% OF RAPES ARE THE RESULT OF DATE RAPE DRUGS. HOW THE FUCK IS A NAIL POLISH GOING TO HELP THE REMAINING 97.6%???? A nail polish doesn’t solve the bigger issue
I have literally never seen anyone miss the mark so much, jesus christ, how the fuck do you read that and miss it?????????
Did you even read the post or are you a bit confused? I liked the example about mosquitoes and fires.
Rape is a crime. It’s always going to happen, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it aside from trying to prevent it. Eh, maybe nail polish doesn’t solve the bigger issue, but if it’s a working solution to stop those 2.3% (I googled it and found 2.3%, not 2.4%..) people from being raped/assaulted then why not embrace it?
Why even say “OMG ITS NAIL POLISH ITS NOT SOLVING THE BIGGER ISSUE!” when it could save 2.3% of other-wise would be rape victims.
"The problems not girls who don’t know they have a date rape drug in their drink, it’s the people who put them there!" Well no shit, sherlock, but there will always be bad crimes, just like there will always be murders, muggings, and so forth, there will always be rapists and rapes and if some people were smart enough to figure out a way as easy as painting your nails to know if you were in the company of some scum-bag-wanna-be rapist then why fucking complain?
Many modern day feminists like to sprout this fantasy argument about how it’s not the victims we should be focused on, but the rapists themselves. Rape is one of the most (if not THE most) looked down upon act someone can commit in this country. If people give potential rape victims something to protect themselves it’s not “victim blaming” like a whole bunch of modern day feminists like to whine about, it’s giving them something to protect themselves with.
Feminists have turned into this creepy bunch of fear mongers but whenever anyone tries to come up with a new way of preventing rape they love to scream and pout, “YOU’RE VICTIM BLAMING, WAH!”
So, what were you saying about missing the mark, because I think you’re missing a pretty big one right here with trying to say, “IT’S NOT HELPING THE BIGGER ISSUE!”
No one is saying don’t use they nail polish. No one is saying this is a terrible idea and should be discontinued. If it helps, then it helps. But it doesn’t solve the larger SOCIETAL PROBLEM. (And you can argue that rape is a looked down upon crime but the fact is MOST COLLEGE CAMPUSES DON’T EVEN USE THE FUCKING WORD “RAPE” so how does that piece of shit statement help anybody? How does avoiding the word “rape” help college campuses where sexual assaults and rapes are common? Because yeah, rape may be frowned upon but there are people who think it’s only rape if the word “no” is explicitly said and even there, there are people who think it can be wormed around.) The nail polish is great because it helps some people.
And I’m not even talking about the fucking nail polish. I’m talking about this absurd logic that feminists want people to be raped. ~Feminists don’t want to protect people.~ NO FUCKING BODY IS SAYING “DON’T USE THE NAIL POLISH”.
So yes, you did miss the mark because you focus on one part of a larger issue and continue to focus on one tiny part of a MAJOR issue. It’s also this terrible logic where they put shit into people’s mouths and then you focus on ONE TINY PART of a major argument and act like you get it. Laci Green isn’t saying don’t use the nail polish. Feminists everywhere are not boycotting the nail polish. They’re saying that they’d like to live in a world where it’s not necessary. They’re saying that they shouldn’t have to wear it in the first place. And whether they can change it or not is debatable but THIS ENTIRE THREAD IS LITERALLY FRAMING THEM AS SOMETHING COMPLETELY OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY’RE SAYING. Which is what I have a problem with.
Lastly, the mosquito analogy fails because people belong to a society. People should not harm other people. People do not need to RAPE to survive. (Unlike mosquitos, who follow an animal instinct to feed.) Same with fire. Fire is not a fucking sentient living being with a need to exert its power over someone. Do you see?
Oh, goodie! Let’s see:
Yeah, you’re still missing the points.
Oh, and edited to add…I don’t see anyone saying anyone is saying not to use the nail polish except you. Which just furthers my belief that you’re not reading posts all the way. We’re upset that people are upset about the nail polish and other forms of rape prevention which have been introduced.
