My homeland security class honestly makes me super paranoid
The homophobic pastor that came to JMU the other day preaching hate is here now, we are/were (I’m not there this minute so I don’t know) trying to drown him out with praise music. Pray that this man comes to know God’s true love. Pray that those witnessing this see how true Christianity is not what this man is saying, but what we are singing. Pray that we can be a witness and a testament to God’s love.
I honestly think it’s really cool I get to see posts like THIS on my school’s tag. And not just people bashing all Christians cuz some nutty self proclaimed pastor came on campus.
an important factual presentation by me
All the facts.
Not only that, but Egypt was occupied by both the Greeks and the Romans at different points in time. There are many, many funerary caskets from that time period with portraits on the outside of them that also bear this out.
If you’re going to try to make an argument about something, actually know what the fuck you’re talking about. Because unlike you, I DO know a few things about ancient Egypt.
Tena laying down some truth on this fuckery.
Four for you, Tena, you go, Tena!
~Persephone (who is quite possibly descended from Cleopatra and is whiter than freaking Christmas)
I actually just went over this in one of my classes this semester. I thought everyone knew Cleopatra was eastern/southern European. She had no African ancestry whatsoever.
Oh and not to mention most of the “Egyptians were black!” articles and images and sources are altered to make them look that way. You can easily find that with a google search.
If you actually take a look at hieroglyphics, you’ll see a huge variety of skin colors portrayed. The tan-pyramid color is the most common, which just leads to a common sense conclusion that the Egyptians were not black in the sense we think when we think they were black, as they painted pictures of people with actual black skin fairly commonly.
They might not have looked WHITE as compared to what we consider white now (Blond, blue eyes, European ((although they do share DNA with the French…)), but they were far from “black.”
Why was a bag of condoms and a lil brochure of how to use them put under my door.
There’s some nut in my math class who started arguing with the teacher saying that we couldn’t really find out how much money you could make from bikes sales without knowing how many bikes were sold. And my teacher pointed out that it was already built into the problem. And then we went on to try and figure out how much monthly profit we would make and the girl went on to say, “NO, IF YOU TAKE ECONOMY THEORY INTO CONSIDERATION INTO THE FIRST PART YOU HAVE TO DO IT IN THE SECOND PART TOO!!!!!” and she was really aggressive about it.
And then a few days ago she was like “This problem is unrealistic because a ball could never be thrown 200 feet high.” and went on to try and argue with the teacher about how it’s a worthless problem.
It’s very awkward
I’m spending the day going through my first two Chinese books.
It’s not fun
Add this to the list of stupid reasons kids have been suspended along with the list of examples on why American education is shit.
Oh, other “banned” words include:

What is wrong with people?
What is wrong with these teachers who can’t handle their kids without calling the police?
What is wrong with these police officers who feel the need to use force on unarmed children?
